Richard Garbarini

Rich is the Managing Partner of Garbarini FitzGerald and has more than a decade of experience dedicated to representing individual and corporate plaintiffs in intellectual property, employment and other civil litigation matters, including consumer class actions. Rich is an expert on corporate wrongdoing, with an emphasis on anti-terrorism and human rights litigation. Rich had the honor of working on the 9/11 Families United to Bankrupt Terrorism multi-district litigation, aiming to bankrupt financiers of al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

After graduating from Brooklyn Law School, where he placed first and won best brief in the Wagner National Labor Law Moot Court Competition, Rich spent a year in the chambers of the Hon. Cheryl L. Pollack, Magistrate Judge, E.D.N.Y and the Hon. Jack B, Weinstein, Senior District Court Judge, E.D.N.Y. Rich was an associate at several New York City law firms including most recently at Kreindler & Kreindler, one of the pre-eminent plaintiff law firms in the country.

Rich is admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court; Second Circuit Court of Appeals; Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals; United States District Court for the Southern District of New York; United States District Court for the Eastern Districts of New York; and New York. Rich has been admitted pro hac vice and prosecuted cases in the United States District Courts of Central District of California, Northern District of California, Northern District of Georgia and New Jersey.

Thomas “T.J.” FitzGerald

homas “T.J.” FitzGerald is Special Counsel to the firm on intellectual property and related matters. After many years litigating intellectual property matters through out the United States and prosecuting trademarks applications worldwide on behalf of some of the world’s most recognized companies and individuals, T.J. embarked on a path pursuing graduate studies concurrently with consulting on intellectual property issues.

Todd Stimmel

Todd is of counsel to the firm. A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, Todd practiced corporate law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. Todd is Wall Street-trained transactional lawyer and senior executive with extensive experience and exceptional success in managing the full complement of legal functions. He has more than 30 years of corporate experience, with over 14 years of legal practice with an additional 15 years corporate value added as CEO and General Counsel. He is a crisis manager, strategic visionary and implementer, noticed for providing effective leadership during periods of fincancing, advocating strategies for boards and investors, conceiving of exits and executing strategies to accomplish them. Todd is characterized as progressive, conscientious, and high-energy with unblemished credentials and uncompromising ethics and integrity.

Dan Balsam – California Bar

Dan is of counsel to the firm. He is a graduate of Harvard College and received his MBA from UCLA and his J.D. from U.C. Hastings School of Law. Dan is a member of the California Bar and lives and works in San Francisco. Dan is an incredibly talented and technologically-minded attorney.
